Is there a method or calculation for figuring the string spacing at the bridge. I'm making a 12 string bridge and I'm having difficulty calculating the distance between the indivisual strings and the sets of strings. Nut width is 1.75 inches.

Not sure if this'll help this late in the game, but:

This is a sweet tool for string spacing.

Thanks, I finally got it straight though. Well I say I got it straight, my 18 year old daughter crunched some numbers for me. What I ended up with was a 2 3/16 string spread at the bridge which gave me an 1/8" between the individual strings & 9/32" between the sets of strings

Be sure that the spacing comes from the space BETWEEN the strings and not just the centerline of the strings...
i.e. the space between the centerline of the heavier strings will more than the space between the centerline of the lighter strings, but the air between the strings should be the same.
If this is completely wrong, somebody correct me, but I think this is the theory.
